Heather Bien is a lifestyle content creator and writer, with a love for timeless design, good food, frequent travel, and a classic stripe. She grew up in Richmond, VA and went on to the University of Virginia, where she studied Art History and Architectural History. She's been writing and designing for as long as she can remember, and she loves projects where she can bring together stories about how culture, style, home, and tradition inform and rely on one another. Give her an opportunity to talk about why open floor plans no longer work with the way we live now or how provenance and history are critical to shaping a dining experience, and she's there.
Heather splits her time between the 1895 Queen Anne Victorian she's currently renovating in the Capitol Hill neighborhood in Washington, DC and her cottage on the Rappahannock River near Urbanna, VA. When she's not at her laptop, you'll find her strolling the streets of Capitol Hill capturing 19th century architectural details, planning her next weekend trip, hitting yet another estate sale, or embracing her community of creatives in DC and beyond.
